I started out this class in a negative manner. I expected something completely different. Nothing made sense to me and I did not understand why I was doing this class. Now that I have come to the end of the semester, I look back and realized how much I have learned about myself and others. I have learned how to take criticism and also to give advice. I have learned that tomorrow is another day. I have received so much confidence from the lessons I have learned. This class changed the way I look at responsibilities and life.
What I Wanted to Learn in ALS
When I first started this class, Dr. Laing gave us an assignment asking what we expected to learn by the end of the semester. This was my response:
" I hope to be able to manage my time better and prioritize my goals. I would like to be able to pick up skills that will suit me to reach my goals in life. "
So far, I have prioritized three short term goals and three long term goals, I have managed my time to where I have managed to squeeze free time for myself everyday, and I have also planned to learn new skills for next semester following a different goal from when I started college.
