Final Project: Redesign
The final for this class was to redesign one of our previous assignments. I chose to redesign "Goal Setting" since it is something that I practice everyday. I chose to do this alone since it is such a simple topic. The instructions confused me a little, but after flooding Dr. Laing's inbox with my questions, I finally found the most effective and easiest way to teach my lesson. I felt very confident that my final will be a successful assignment for someone to try! The button below will take you to my redesigned assignment.
Goal Setting Assignment
Goal Setting
- Read article by clicking link below, then make a list of the 3 personal and 3 professional goals, as the site suggests.
- With your poster board, make a goal chart. A big chart of any style that you can put up on your wall where you can see it everyday. Make a (timeline, list, collage) of your goals on the chart. Give each one deadlines. Use the three personal goals and three professional goals that you listed earlier to start off with. Every time you reach a goal, you can mark it with a sticker or cross it off with a colorful marker.
- Keep a journal of your progress. Every night, write what you had planned to do, what you actually did, what you thought you should have done differently, and what you set out to do tomorrow to reach your goal.
- Post your progress (good or bad) to receive feedback, suggestions and criticism. Minimum four sentences answering: a)What did you plan to do? b)What did you actually do? c)What did you think you should have done differently? d)What will you do now?
- Reply to at least one of your peer's feed back to your post with an answer to their question.
- Give feedback to two other posts with one compliment, one criticism, and one question.
Rationale for Feedback
I made peer feedback a part of the instructions because I feel that receiving feedback is important in order to better our skills. It helps us see what we are doing wrong, or what we can make better.
